We hereby officially announce that the three models of G050VTN01.0, G050TAN01.0, and G050VTN01.1 in the AU 5.0-inch industrial LCD screen series will gradually cease production according to AU's original product lifecycle planning. To assist customers who are currently using or planning to develop related products in smoothly completing project transitions, we hereby issue this discontinuation notice and a complete alternative selection plan.

2. Explanation of shutdown time nodes
According to the shutdown process specifications of AU Optronics, it usually takes about 14 months from the announcement of shutdown to the last shipment:
Announcement of production suspension → 3-month evaluation period → 6-month final order window → 3-month final production → 2-month final shipment
The last order time and last shipment time for the currently discontinued models have expired or are approaching the deadline. It is recommended to take the following measures:

Due to the combination of 720 × 1280 high-resolution and MIPI interface used in G050TAN01.0, it is quite unique in the 5-inch industrial screen of AU. At present, most mainstream industrial screens from AU are 800 × 480 resolution and TTL interface, and there is no fully compatible direct substitute model. Expanding size: Adopting a 5.7-inch or larger MIPI interface screen, the size increases and the structure needs to be redesigned.
3.3 G050VTN01.1 (discontinued) alternative solution
G050VTN01.1 (1000nits ultra bright) is the model with the greatest impact of discontinuation, as there are very few 5-inch 1000nits level production models on the market. Enlarged size high brightness screen: G057VN01 V220 (5.7 inches) 700nits brightness, AHVA full viewing angle, 70000h backlight life.

MIPI and TTL are two different interface standards that cannot be directly compatible. If you need to use TTL interface models, you need to redesign the motherboard or use a signal conversion chip.
Q3: Is there any other brand to replace the 1000nits brightness of G050VTN01.1?
At present, there are few 5-inch 1000nits industrial screen models. It is recommended to use assembled screens or consider upgrading to the 5.7-inch high brightness series (such as G057VN01 V220700nits).
