In the fields of industrial automation, vehicle displays, intelligent terminals, etc., 7 inches is one of the most widely used classic sizes, and the technological iteration of its display scheme directly affects the performance and experience of downstream devices. Recently, AUO Display Plus released its latest 7-inch industrial control screen product roadmap, clearly demonstrating its strategic layout of upgrading from traditional TN/MVA technology to AHVA full view technology, while covering the two mainstream resolutions of WVGA and WSVGA, providing full cycle, high-performance display solutions for different scenarios.

I. 7-inch product line panorama: dual resolution coverage, full cycle technical layout

This roadmap presents a complete product matrix of AU Optronics 7-inch industrial control screens in terms of resolution and production cycle, covering the current production (MP~2026/Q1) and development (2026/Q2~2027/Q2) stages, meeting the dual needs of customer stock substitution and new product development.

1. WVGA (800 × 480) resolution sequence: industrial/vehicle mainstream size, AHVA fully takes over

WVGA is the most classic resolution of 7-inch industrial control screens, widely used in industrial controllers, vehicle central control, handheld terminals and other scenarios. In this roadmap, this sequence has completed a comprehensive upgrade from traditional technology to AHVA:

(1) Mass produced model (MP~2026/Q1)

Traditional technology stock models:

G070VTN01.0 (Jan. 14): 300nits brightness, 130/110 ° viewing angle, -20~70 ℃ wide temperature range, 30K hour lifespan, LVDS interface, no LED driver, classic TN solution, suitable for low-cost basic scenarios.

A070VTN06.4 (Jun 18): 500nits high brightness, 150/120 ° viewing angle, -30~85 ℃ ultra wide temperature range, 50K hour lifespan, digital interface, no LED driver, wide temperature TN solution, suitable for outdoor basic scenes.

AHVA technology main models:

G070VAN01.0 (Apr.20): 480nits brightness, 178/178 ° full field of view, -30~85 ℃ ultra wide temperature range, 50K hour lifespan, LVDS interface, no LED driver, AHVA core mass-produced model, fully replacing traditional TN screens.

G070VAN01.1 (Sep.20): 200nits brightness, 178/178 ° full view angle, -20~70 ℃ wide temperature range, 30K hour lifespan, LVDS interface, no LED driver, high cost-effectiveness AHVA solution, suitable for indoor industrial control scenarios.

G070VW01.012 (Nov.23): 400nits brightness, 178/178 ° full view angle, -30~85 ℃ ultra wide temperature range, 50K hour lifespan, LVDS interface, supports Reverse Scan (RS) reverse scanning, AHVA industrial grade customized version, suitable for special installation direction scenarios.

(2) Development/Planning Model (2026/Q2~2027/Q2)

G070VAN01.3 (Q4.26, under development): 520nits brightness, 178/178 ° full field of view, -20~70 ℃ wide temperature range, 30K hour lifespan, digital interface, no LED driver, AHVA new generation mass-produced model, suitable for automotive and high-end industrial control scenarios.

G070VAN01. x (under planning): 1000nits ultra-high brightness, 178/178 ° full view angle, -30~85 ℃ ultra wide temperature range, 50K hour lifespan, digital interface, no LED driver, AHVA flagship model with high brightness, perfectly suitable for extreme scenarios such as outdoor strong light and car instruments.

2. WSVGA (1024 × 600) resolution sequence: high-definition upgrade solution, clear technical iteration

WSVGA has higher resolution and is suitable for industrial tablets, smart terminals, and other scenarios that require display clarity. The roadmap has also completed technological upgrades:

(1) Mass produced model (MP~2026/Q1)

B070ATN01.3 (May 19): 350nits brightness, 150/145 ° viewing angle, -10~60 ℃ wide temperature range, 20K hours lifespan, LVDS interface, no LED driver, traditional TN solution, stock base model.

(2) Planning model (2026/Q2~2027/Q2)

A070STN02. x (planned): 350nits brightness, 150/145 ° viewing angle, -10~60 ℃ wide temperature range, 20K hour lifespan, digital interface, no LED driver, new generation interface upgrade, seamless replacement for existing TN screens.

II. Core technology iteration: AHVA fully replaces traditional TN, defining a new benchmark for industrial control displays

The core trend of this roadmap is the complete replacement of traditional TN solutions with AHVA technology, becoming the absolute mainstay technology for AU's 7-inch industrial control screens. Its core advantages completely solve the industry pain points of traditional TN screens:

1. Full view display, bidding farewell to blind spots in the viewing angle

The traditional TN screen has a viewing angle of only around 130/110 °, which results in severe grayscale inversion and color distortion at large viewing angles. However, AHVA technology achieves a 178 °/178 ° ultra wide viewing angle, ensuring clear and consistent images from any angle. It is perfectly suitable for scenarios such as multi person operation of industrial equipment and tilted installation of vehicle instruments.

2. Ultra wide temperature range and long lifespan, suitable for extreme industrial environments

The AHVA series models comprehensively cover a wide temperature range of -30~85 ℃, and some models support an ultra long backlight life of 50K hours, far exceeding traditional TN screens. They can operate stably in harsh working conditions such as extreme cold, high temperature, and outdoor, greatly reducing equipment maintenance costs.

3. High brightness coverage, full field adaptation

The AHVA series covers a full range of brightness from 200 to 1000 nits, from indoor low-power scenarios to outdoor strong light scenarios, especially the 1000nits high brightness planning model, which completely solves the pain point of poor outdoor visibility of traditional TN screens.

4. Interface upgrade to adapt to the new generation of hardware

The AHVA model under development/planning fully adopts digital interfaces, replacing traditional LVDS interfaces, with faster transmission speed and stronger anti-interference ability, suitable for the needs of new generation industrial controllers and vehicle hardware, while retaining the LED free driver design to reduce customer hardware design costs.
