Product Update: AUO G238HAN01.1 PCBA IC Change – Enhanced Longevity Support
At IDT DISPLAY , we are committed to keeping our customers informed about product updates that ensure long-term supply stability. In line with this commitment, we would like to share an important engineering change (EC) regarding the AUO G238HAN01.1 LCD panel.
Why the Change?
Due to the end-of-life (EOL) status of two key components—TCON IC (12303 K07) and PWM IC (P201-1F) —AUO has proactively introduced a revised model to maintain uninterrupted supply. The updated version, G238HAN01.101, features a new PCBA equipped with replacement ICs that provide identical electrical performance and full pin-to-pin compatibility.

Despite the IC updates, the PCBA layout remains unchanged, and all replacement components are pin-to-pin compatible. Most importantly, the panel’s electrical characteristics and specifications stay exactly the same as the original G238HAN01.100 version.
Verification & Implementation Schedule
AUO has completed the validation process with the following timeline:
Sample Availability: March 2026
Reliability Test Results: End of March 2026
Running Change Implementation: June 2026
What This Means for You
For customers currently using the G238HAN01.100 in their designs, this EC ensures a seamless transition without any need for hardware or software modifications. The new G238HAN01.101 is a drop-in replacement, offering the same performance, reliability, and longevity support.
